Sermorelin is a synthetic GHRH analogue consisting of the first 29 amino acids of the native 44-amino acid GHRH sequence — the
biologically active fragment responsible for GH-stimulating activity. Sermorelin acts directly at pituitary GHRH receptors to stimulate
physiological growth hormone secretion, making it a research tool for studying the upstream GH axis independently of direct GH
administration. Frequently studied in GH deficiency models, pituitary biology, and comparative GH axis research alongside other GHRH
analogues such as Tesamorelin and CJC-1295.
